Beyond circumstances beyond our control, General Conveyor has recently fallen victim to mail fraud.  In mid-January 2015 a series of outgoing cheques were intercepted and stolen from within the local York Region / Toronto Canada Post mail system and were fraudulently modified in an attempt to provide payment to private individuals in both Canada and US.  As a company policy we do not issue cheques to private individuals.

The local Police Authorities, US local state Police, Canada Post are now involved investigating this crime.  We are taking immediate action to protect payment to suppliers and avoid delay in such payments.

We urge anyone in receipt of a suspect cheque to contact us at 905-727-7922 to confirm if this is a genuine or fraudulent cheque.
